Thursday November 6th 2025 - 11:45am: GameStop Announces PowerPack Series 3, Digital Mystery Slabs Receive One Day Only Beta Release
GameStop has announced a one day online beta release of their latest series of mystery graded card boxes. Previously only available in store, this series in collaboration with PSA will be available as an online purchase of a "digital box opening," which reveals your graded card immediately, with that card being held in the "PSA Vault." Unlike the in store PowerPacks you do not receive mystery booster packs. GameStop gives you the option to "Decide whether to sell, ship, or store in your PSA Vault," but is not the most upfront about the "withdrawal fees" required to have your slab shipped to you.
Immediate withdrawal costs about $12 per card. If you choose the option to immediately sell the card back to GameStop you will be paid 90% of market value. Their 5 available tiers include: Starter - $25, Silver - $50, Gold - $100, Platinum - $500, and Diamond - $1,000. Each tier has different average values and chase cards, with chase cards in the "Diamond" tier valuing as high as $14,000+. GameStop is very clear about the odds and chase cards of each tier, currently it shows about a 29% chance of "breaking profit" and a roughly 40% chance of a card valued below your tier's price.
Since it is in beta only Pokemon and football card PowerPacks are available at the moment, on official release GameStop intends to add baseball and basketball packs. At roughly 11am their "about" page was experiencing intermittent loading issues and some lag across the site, which may suggest an influx of interest. There are still few posts of pulls available on social media so reception is still unknown. This beta run of the site is open for today only, the official release date has not yet been announced.
